INTRODUCTION

Born on 13th May 1959 in a Philanthropic AsaramBhattad family, Lion Hari Narayan Bhattadrecieved his schooling at Narayanpet and moved to Mumbai for his graduation. Since childhood, he had leadership qualities hence Lion Bhattad was elected as Council Member of Bombay University with a huge margin. After completing his graduation, he returned back to Narayanpet and joined his family business of Gem and Jewellery Bullion and Silver. Lion Bhattad is running a Jewellery Business at Narayanpet under the name 'Sri BalajiJewellers'.

While he was in business, he was invited to join Lions Club of Narayanpet. He joined the club in the year 1983. Since the day he joined the club, he has been actively involved and participated in all Club programmes. He served the Club, as President for two terms successfully. He was nominated as Region Chairperson by the District Governor 2008-2009 Lion R. Sunil Kumar. His Region Conference was a huge success and appreciated by all. Since then, he is serving the District Cabinet every year in various capacities and doing his best.

Lion Hari Narayan Bhattad has been enrolled as Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow, this year and he has been honoured by PID ArunaOswal during the District Event of Honouring MJF/PMJFs. This year 2020-2021 he has done enormous services through Lions Club of Narayanpet to the COVID-19 victims by offering Food, Clothes, Masks and Covid Preventive Materials. During the course of first wave of Covid-19 Lion Hari Narayan Bhattad donated a huge sum of 4 Lakhs to take care of the Covid Victims. Lions Club of Narayanpet has donated two Oxygen Concentrators to Local Government Hospital through the hands of Hon'ble Minister SrinivasGoud and MLAs Rajendra Reddy (Narayanpet Constituency), Lion C. Ram Mohan Reddy(Makhtal Constituency) and other District Government Officials. These two concentrators have been donated by Bhattad Family.

When he expressed his desire to render his services at District Level, Lions Club of Narayanpet readily endorsed his name for the post of Second Vice District Governor of our District 320A for the year 2021-2022. Lion HarinarayanBhattad was elected unanimously for the above mentioned post. This shows his leadership ability.

Lions Club of Narayanpet is having his own premises, Lions Bhavan which was constructed by Late AsaramBhattad, father of Hari Narayan Bhattad and this year the premises have been renovated and extended by Lion HarinarayanBhattad and inaugurated by District Collector.

Apart from his business and Lionism, Hari Narayan Bhattad is associated with many organizations. He became the Vice President of Telangana Gem and Jewelery Bullion Jewelery Federation (TBGJF). He is also Chairman and Trust Board Member for countless temples and educational institutions.

Recently, on the recommendation of the District Collector he was appointed as Convenor of INTACH for Narayanpet District Chapter. He is life patron for Red Cross Society, Ramdev Baba's Divya Yoga Trust (Haridwar), Swamy Vivekananda Rock Memorial Trust (Kanyakumari), Sri Hanuman ShirdiSai Temple (Narayanpet) and many more. Presently he is serving as Vice Chairman of Narayanpet Municipality.

Lion Hari Narayan Bhattad is happily married to Lion Sarita and blessed with two children. His daughter, Nidhi, completed her MS Software from USA and married Dr.Krishna Kumar Malu, M.Sc., Ph.D., and the couple is residing in USA. His son, Saket completed MS (EEE) from UK, married to Babita (MS) and they are continuing the legacy of their family business. Lion Hari Narayan Bhattad is blessed with a grandson Divit.
